It was Aristotle who said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” Apply that same template to other issues and a phenomenon begins to emerge…friendships are not an act, but a habit…love is not an act, it’s a habit…leadership is not an act, it’s a habit! See where we’re going with this? True leadership is the “defining and mining” of those “gold nugget” qualities that determine and distinguish leadership. If indeed it is NOT an act, it can only come from within – leadership out of character.
