Follow the Leadership: 10 Steps to Lead
As my dad use to say, “Lead, follow or get out of the way!” Yes, there has always been and will always be exhaustive talk about leadership. Honestly though, some of it is not just verbiage. Matter of fact, remove the needless chatter and there is more stuff than fluff that can make a difference.
How Many Steps?
It was Aristotle who said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” Apply that same template to other issues and a phenomenon begins to emerge…friendships are not an act, but a habit…love is not an act, it’s a habit…leadership is not an act, it’s a habit! See where we’re going with this? True leadership is the “defining and mining” of those “gold nugget” qualities that determine and distinguish leadership. If indeed it is NOT an act, it can only come from within – leadership out of character. This presentation, especially designed for professionals with a high school version as well not only identifies the 10 steps to lead, but the offers suggestions and solutions to develop these essential character principles.
